Do you want to outmaneuver your competition? Then you have to know what works for them – and what doesn’t.
SerpWatch is the only tool of its kind that allows you to accurately track your competitors’ website performance on keyword level and with no extra cost.
You can filter the results by your main competitors and track your top 10 competitors for free.
This will not only help you understand how well you fare in the market but also allow you to reverse engineer your competitors’ SEO success.
# Tracking Competitors
Here’s how to track your competitors’ rankings on SerpWatch:
- Log into the Dashboard and open your project:

- Scroll down to Keywords and click the one you want to view:

- Click the Competitors tab to get an overview of how your content is performing compared to that of your competitors:

- By default, the data shown will be for the period of 1 month; however, you can change the time frame in the top left corner:

- You can also set a custom time period for the results by using the date picker in the top right corner:

- If you want to change the position range, choose one of the options from the dropdown menu; you can select the first 10, 20, 40, 60, 80, or 100 ranking positions, depending on how scattered your competitors are in search results (remember – the first 10 positions for each keyword are free):

# Adding Competitors
If you want to add competitor domains that are not in the top 10, click the “Add Competitor” button above the chart.
Each competitor you track outside of the free top 10 will cost the same as the parent keyword, i.e. one credit more if the parent keyword is checked daily. If the parent keyword is checked twice daily it would cost 2.

All competitors you add will be shown in the Filter domain dropdown menu below the chart.

# Filtering
For even more accurate results, you can select which competitors you want to see in the chart.
If you want to opt out of seeing the results for some of your competitors’ domains, use the dropdown menu below the chart and click the domains you want to filter out.

Keep in mind that we will still keep monitoring these domains – you just won’t see them on the chart.
You can change these settings at any time and experiment with tracking different competitors’ domains to see what works best for your SEO needs.
