# Create a Subscription
The SerpWatch pricing plan is designed to charge users based on usage.
Here’s how to set up your custom billing plan:
- Click your profile icon
- Select “Billing”
- Click “Select plan”
- Select the number of keywords you want to track (the amount we charge depends on the number of keyword checks you want us to perform). By default, we track your keywords every 24 hours which means that your rankings are refreshed once per day.
- If you want to check your keywords more than once per day, try our Usage Calculator
- Select the keyword check frequency from the dropdown menu. You can check your keywords every 12 hours, every 6 hours, every 2 hours, and hourly.
- Select Mobile, Desktop, or both
- Customize your plan based on location and/or search engines
- Click “Subscribe”
- Enter your credit card information and click “Confirm and pay”
# Upgrade or Downgrade a Subscription
You can upgrade or downgrade your subscription plan anytime you want and the change will take effect immediately.
If at any point you realize you need more keyword checks, just upgrade your plan and you will instantly get additional check credits.
This will cause the change in your billing cycle with the day of the upgrade defining the start of a new cycle.
However, you won’t be charged the full price of the new plan immediately, but only the difference between your old and new pricing plans for the current billing cycle.
Starting with the next billing cycle, you will be charged the cost of your new subscription plan in full.
If you choose to downgrade your plan, the change will take effect on the next billing date.
You can’t downgrade to a plan with the number of total checks lower than the reserved checks 1 for the current plan. In that case, you will need to delete some keywords from your tracking roster. On billing, you will be charged the full amount of the selected lower plan.
An annual plan can’t be downgraded to a lower annual plan before the grace period ends. If you still wish to do so, please contact our sales department.
# Subscription Plan Length
SerpWatch offers monthly and annual subscription plans.
The billing cycle starts on the date of the subscription and lasts until the same date next month (monthly subscription) or the same date next year (annual subscription).
If you decide on the annual subscription, you will get a 10% discount on the cost of your chosen plan. On billing, you will be charged the amount for the entire year in advance.
You can switch from a monthly to an annual plan anytime. If you, however, want to transition from an annual to a monthly plan, please contact our sales department.
# Cancel a Subscription
You can cancel your subscription anytime you want.
In that case, your plan won’t be automatically renewed at the end of the current billing cycle.
Once you cancel your subscription, we will no longer update your rank tracking information, but you will have access to your historical data.
However, you will still be able to use the tool regularly and get tracking updates until the remainder of your grace period.

# Grace Period
Grace period is the period of time between the moment you cancel your subscription and the moment the cancelation takes effect at the end of your billing cycle.
Since you already paid for it, you will be able to use SerpWatch as usual within this period until your subscription ends.
After the grace period, you will need to renew your subscription in order for your tracking information to be updated.
All the data gathered during the subscription and grace period will be available to you forever.
If you want to resume your plan during the grace period, you won’t be charged additional fees before the next billing cycle starts.
