# How to Track Local Keywords in SerpWatch?

SerpWatch allows you to track your local keywords based on zip code, city, and state.
Local tracking feature is available in both New Project and Edit Project setup.
# New Project
# Country-Wide Tracking
If you want to track your keywords country-wide, simply select the country of your choice from the drop-down menu.

# City, Zip, State
If you want to track keywords at the city, zip, or state level, check the “Track local results” box.

Once you check the box, the “City, Zip, State” field will appear below.
The field will be pre-filled with a default location, and unless you change this information, the app will show results based on the default location.

To track keywords for a precise location, delete the default location and select one of the options from the drop-down menu.
NOTE: Based on geographic data obtained by Google, the available options for zip codes vary by country.

# City-Wide Tracking
With the local search feature, you can also track your keywords city-wide.
If you want to get tracking results for the entire city area, type the word “city” with the name.

# Existing Project
You can also set up the tracking location for the projects you have already created.
To do so, click the Edit Project icon on your Dashboard or at the Project Level overview and follow the steps described above.


Once you set up the location, click “Save project” to finish.
